Epidemiology & Biostatistics and Family Medicine professor Evelyn Vingilis has been recognized with a Widmark Award for her achievements in road safety research.
This award is the highest honor bestowed by the International Council on Alcohol, Drugs and Traffic Safety and is only given to individuals and organizations that have made outstanding, sustained, and meritorious contributions internationally over a sustained period of years.
A ceremony for Vingilis, Director of the Population and Community Health Unit in Family Medicine and an adjunct professor in the Arthur Labatt Family School of Nursing, is scheduled for August in Oslo, Norway.
