Across The University of Western Ontario campus, friends of David Edmondson prepare to say a final farewell to the fourth-year science student. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday (Oct. 22) at St. Luke’s Roman Catholic Church, 39 Green Lane, Thornhill.
Edmondson, 22, died in the early hours of Sunday morning after a fall from the 15th floor balcony of his apartment building on Richmond Street near downtown.
As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the London Health Sciences Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
In addition to condolences being left at R.S. Kane Funeral Home website, a memorial has been set up in the University Community Centre (UCC) Atrium and will be there for the next week or so. There are candles, a print of the obituary and information regarding counseling.
As many students have been left in shock by this death, the university wants to ensure all are aware of the resources on campus, available to assist.
