The University of Western Ontario, along with other universities across Ontario, will see more first-year undergraduate students this fall than ever before. More than 90,000 students across the province have confirmed their university acceptance letters, a number nearly 2,000 more than the double cohort year, when Grade 12 and 13 students graduated at the same time.
The Council of Ontario Universities has launched a website called MyEducationHasValue.ca to provide these first-year students with resources to help them access financial aid and take advantage of emerging employment trends.
The site also invites students to submit videos about why they value their education for the chance to win a BlackBerry PlayBook.
