Research Western has introduced a new award that recognizes faculty, staff and students at Western who are engaged in a range of efforts that improve the quality of life of individuals and groups around the world.
The Western Humanitarian Award is valued at a maximum of $5,000 annually and is provided through the Office of the Vice-President (Research & International Relations).
“This award is an excellent opportunity to recognize and support the humanitarian contributions Western’s faculty, staff and students are making around the world, ” says Ted Hewitt, Western’s Vice-President (Research & International Relations). “It also brings research and other expertise directly to bear on the improvement of living conditions and people’s lives.”
Preference will be given to the recognition of activities that have current or future potential international impact. Individuals or groups may apply or be nominated by third parties.
