Read. Watch. Listen. introduces you the personal side of our faculty, staff and alumni. Participants are asked to answer three simple questions about their reading, viewing and listening habits – what one book or newspaper/magazine article is grabbing your attention; what one movie or television show has caught your eye; and what album/song, podcast or radio show are you lending an ear to.
Penni Pring is an Administrative Assistant in the Department of Psychology.
Today, she takes her turn on Read. Watch. Listen.

Read.
Just finished Where I Lost Her by T. Greenwood. You can’t judge a book by its cover, but I thought it looked intriguing and it absolutely was. Perseverance personified, dramatic, frightening. I’ve read all of Jodi Picoult’s books. Looking for a new read now; I thought of joining Jimmy Fallon’s book club, Tonight Show Summer Reads and might still do that. His first book is Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi.
Watch.
For fun, it is Survivor – I’ve watched all 34 seasons. For in-depth reporting, I like The Passionate Eye (currently an eight-hour series on The Queen of England) and The Nature of Things (often narrated by David Suzuki, who I am a huge fan of).
Listen.
Love The Reason by Hoobastank, Bring me to Life by Evanescence, and anything by The Beatles. If I had to choose a more recent song, it would be Say Something by Justin Timberlake. Like most people, I love music – generates memories and creates new ones.
