Western’s Caucus on Women’s Issues is celebrating its 30th anniversary and launching the Feminist History Society on Thursday, April 1 at the Spring General Meeting.
Join members for cake, refreshments and guest speaker Professor Constance Backhouse, who will describe the goals of the new Feminist History Society.
The project aims to preserve for posterity the history of feminists in Canada from 1960 to 2010, through the publication of a series of books designed to take “pride of place” on feminist bookshelves.
The event begins at 4 p.m. in the Faculty of Education Community Room (1137 Western Road). Free parking is available.
