Digging up fun on Archaeology Day
The Museum of Ontario Archaeology, an affiliate of The University
of Western Ontario, is letting the public be an archaeologist for a
day.
Brescia hosts international day camp
Brescia University College celebrated the success of its inaugural
Girls LEAD International Day Camp last week at Ursuline Convent
School in Bridgetown, Barbados, where the camp ran for two weeks.
WSRC pool re-opens Monday
The Western Student Recreation Centre pool is set to re-open at
6:15 a.m. on Monday (July 26), following a water clarity concern
that has since been resolved following grid repair within the
filtration system.
CHRW goes green to save green
Coming up on its 30th anniversary, Western’s 94.9 CHRW launched
some new hardware this week that will save them some green – both
financially and environmentally.
Winders to begin editorial role
Currently wrapping up his Master’s in Environmental Sustainability

Astronomers using NASA’s Spitzer Space Telescope have discovered
carbon molecules, known as “buckyballs,” in space for the first
time.
University and union agree to ‘pause’ monetary discussions
Following Ontario Finance Minister Dwight Duncan’s speech this week
to public sector partners regarding compensation restraint, Western
administration and The University of Western Ontario Staff
Association (UWOSA) have agreed to set aside monetary discussions
until further information is available from government officials.
The two sides have been negotiating since May 28.
A green thumb weekend at Western
Western will be opening up its gates this weekend – its garden
gates to be more exact.
