Three sites at The University of Western Ontario are highlighted in this year’s Doors Open London sponsored by the London Heritage Council. The Claudette-MacKay-Lassonde Pavilion, McIntosh Gallery and Museum of Ontario Archaeology are among the 55 locations who will open their door free of charge to the public Sept. 17-18.
Doors Open London aims to highlight the places and stories that are meaningful to London’s past, present and future, inviting all members of the public to learn about and engage with the city. The featured sites are notable for their architectural, historical, cultural and/or social significance, and during Doors Open will share their unique stories with members of the public through a variety of interactive and appealing programs and events. Of the 55 sites opening their doors, 13 are first-time participants; the full site list is found below.
In celebration of the 10th year as London’s premier heritage event, Doors Open London will present special event enhancements throughout the weekend; further details will be released in the coming months.
