Theatre Western has been nominated for four Beat DISH Magazine Awards for the group’s productions of Jerome, The Historical Spectacle and Legally Blonde. The annual Beat DISH Awards celebrate the best in London theatre.
Jerome and The Historical Spectacle have been nominated for two awards, including the Beatnik Award for a Comedy or Drama and the Ali Greene Award for Best Stage Manager in a Comedy or Drama. Furthermore, Legally Blonde has also been nominated for two awards, including the Ellen Lever Award for Best Performance for an Actress in a Supporting Musical Role and the Patrick Callegaro Award for Best Choreographed Musical.
The annual Beat DISH Awards not only celebrate the best in London theatre, but also provide Western students with the opportunity to grow professionally and be recognized on and off campus for their accomplishments.
“Our student volunteers put a great deal of hard work and dedication into their initiatives and it’s wonderful for them to be recognized for their passion and talent not only on campus but in the London community. We are extremely proud of Theatre Western for this success,” said Erin Uberig, University Students’ Council vice-president of student events.
