Work continues on a manual reset to a number of campus phones, a result of a telephone system upgrade conducted by ITS over the weekend. ITS has sent email messages directly to telephone coordinators as well as to impacted telephone users to instruct them how to reset their telephones.
As of 9:40 a.m., ITS staff has reset approximately 200 phones, leaving 650 phones still outstanding and in need of reset. ITS has deployed resources to the highest priority buildings based on density – the Richard Ivey School of Business, University Community Centre, etc. – and has done some specific site visits to the Office of the Registrar call center and Research Park.
Community members are advised to contact the ITS Helpdesk for any other telephone concerns that may arise. Call volumes has been steady, but not overwhelming.
ITS has added a short video to its instruction set for greater clarity.
