The Western Employee Golf League is now accepting memberships for the 2013 season. There will be an organizational ‘Meet and Greet’ session for new and continuing members at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 24 at the Grad Club, Middlesex College.
The co-ed league is composed of active and retired Western staff and faculty. Skill levels vary from new golfers to low handicappers (most people are somewhere in the middle). The league offers nine holes of fun, easy-going golf every Wednesday after work with tee off times between 4:30 and 5:45 p.m. from May 1 to late September at Llyndinshire Golf & Country Club, a few minutes north of the city.
There is an end-of-season 18-hole golf tournament (usually the middle weekend in September) and one or two events mid-season during regular league time.
Annual league membership is $30 with discounted individual weekly green fees of $23 for nine holes.
