An Indigenous languages revitalization program is among ten projects receiving eCampusOntario grants
Two of the larger employee groups on campus are urging university
administrators to re-consider their approach to trimming budgets in
order to avoid layoffs of staff and faculty.
The campus community is invited to welcome The University of
Western Ontario’s next president Amit Chakma at a Great Hall
reception Friday (Jan. 23) from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
The campus community is invited to celebrate as Western prepares to
unveil its United Way campaign results – in true mustang style –
this Monday (Jan 26) at the Great Hall beginning at 11 a.m.
In the unfortunate circumstance you are facing an emergency, Steve
Clemens may be the person you most want to have at your side.
In another lifetime, University of Western Ontario Psychology
professor Mike Atkinson would be teaching his classes on a beach on
Bora Bora Island.
The Faculty of Arts and Humanities took on new leadership last fall
when former University of Guelph professor Donna Pennee became
dean. Pennee, a first-generation university graduate, started her
academic career in the sciences, but quickly found the degree
requirements in the arts challenged her in a new and exciting way.
In the Canadian political arena, labeled by many as being crammed
with way too much personal drama and showboating, Ed Holder would
seem to be the exception to rule.
Beijing Olympian Saeed Azarbayjani will join the coaching staff of
the London-Western Wrestling Club and as an assistant coach with
the Western Mustangs varsity wrestling team.
“Vroom, vroom” has a new ring to it in Physical Plant. More to the
point, it may have no sound at all as the division looks to
incorporate alternative-fuel vehicles to its fleet.
With the garland and mistletoe stored away for another year, many
Canadians are now left to face this year`s challenge: the New
Year’s resolution.
Nadia Potts, a former principle dancer for the National Ballet of
Canada, was scheduled to teach dancing classes in Alumni Hall for a
fee of $25.
Registration is now open for the “Possibilities: Yours to Discover”
